2. Design Process Breakdown
To create a poster that looks dynamic and modern like this, the designer used specific advanced techniques:
Step 1: Background & Lighting
- Gradient Background: The background uses a mix of colors (Gradient), blending dark blue and black to create a heavy, intense atmosphere.
- Lens Flare: A bright light burst (Lens Flare) is placed in the top left corner to add vibrancy and prevent the image from looking too dark.
Step 2: Creating the "Glitch" or "3D Anaglyph" Effect
- This is the standout feature of this design. The text "Cambodia" and the player's body have Red and Blue shadows separating from them.
How to do it:
- Place the player or text layer.
- Duplicate the layer twice (Color one Red, one Blue).
- Nudge the Red layer slightly to the left and the Blue layer slightly to the right.
- Lower the Opacity or change the Blend Mode to "Screen" or "Lighten".
- Meaning: This effect represents speed, motion, and explosive energy.
Step 3: Typography
- Font: Uses a thick, blocky Khmer font that suits the sports theme.
- Headline: The text "Cambodia 2023"is placed in the center using the same Glitch Effect described above to match the style of the player.
- The player (Number 9) is masked and placed in the center. The distortion effects around him visualize the fast movement of running with the ball.
