Quiz 1 March
1. Composition and Layout
The designer has used a classic "Split Background" technique to create depth and context:
- The Foreground (Bottom): A wooden table texture is used to ground the image. This gives the feeling of a home dining table, making the scene feel warm and inviting.
- The Background (Top): A blurred green nature background (bokeh effect) is used. This implies freshness and natural ingredients, which aligns with the product's marketing.
- The Focal Point: The large bowl of food (grilled meat salad) takes up the bottom left, anchoring the design. The product (Ajinomoto bag) balances it on the right.
2. Marketing Strategy in Design
This poster tries to change the perception of the product by highlighting its origins:
- "Natural Origin" Visuals: Next to the red Ajinomoto bag, you can see Cassava roots (Tapioca) and green leaves. This is a deliberate design choice to remind consumers that MSG is derived from natural tapioca starch/cane sugar fermentation, rather than being just a "chemical."
- Appetizing Imagery: The food photography is high-contrast. The golden-brown color of the grilled meat and the bright yellow corn make the viewer hungry (appetite appeal).
